Description:
A rare pot & lid from Dixon & Co of Sunderland. The lid is richly decorated with pink lustre and monochrome flower transfers, the body has a view of the iconic bridge over the Wear and on the reverse a rare transfer of 'September' featuring the hunter with scales. Further, rich pink lustre infiltration decoration below the handles.
Circa 1850
Approx - 4 inches (100mm) dia x 3.25 inches (85mm) tall.
In good condition throughout save minor rim chips on the lid and a rim chip inside the pot.
